Our team of highly skilled Physiotherapists have significant experience in children’s physiotherapy practice across a range of sectors including public, private, disability and community. Our Physiotherapists provide high quality, evidence based physiotherapy management of young people, and work closely with parents and care-givers to maximise outcomes for their clients. Our expertise in the management of children with congenital disorders such as clubfeet and hip dysplasia, musculoskeletal conditions, pain syndromes, and burns and scar management are particularly well regarded. We are also able to provide services to NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. A GP or specialist referral is welcome but not required.
Our therapists have over 80 years of combined experience in paediatric physiotherapy between them. Our staff have been carefully selected based on their differing areas of clinical specialisation and skill sets, to ensure only the highest quality services are provided.
Our fully equipped plaster room allows the provision of specialised casting services for various conditions, including clubfeet. We also provide custom made splints, and work closely with an experienced orthotist for custom made orthoses as required.
Exercise in a heated pool environment is highly beneficial for many children, and is a fun and effective way to engage children in therapy. We provide multiple hydrotherapy sessions weekly, outside of school hours.
Access to large spaces and specialised gym equipment is a key component of the physiotherapy care of many children. We provide access to gym based therapy, outside of school hours.
All of our Physiotherapists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and maintain current Child-Related Employment Screening clearances from the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DSCI, SA Government). Continuing professional development is important for our staff, and all Children’s Physio SA Physiotherapists attend conferences, courses and workshops and work hard to stay up to date with current best practice in Paediatric Physiotherapy.
