Mariko excitedly joined the CPSA team in early 2023 as a hydrotherapy allied health assistant while studying for her Master of Physiotherapy at Flinders University.

Since graduating at the end of 2023, Mariko has worked across the lifespan in aged care and paediatrics.  She enjoys working with children of all ages and has an extensive background in volunteering with a paediatric population, including at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, Canada.

She also had the opportunity to work with premature babies in Bogotá, Colombia, as a research assistant under a Neonatal Paediatrician, addressing the Colombian-founded Kangaroo technique and the reduction of longer-term disabilities.

Mariko is an avid dancer outside of work, and loves spending time with her friends.
