Melissa Keough

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Melissa joined the Children's Physio SA team in 2020.  She graduated from the University of South Australia in 1996.

After initially working in adult rehabilitation, she moved to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 1998 to pursue her passion for working with babies and children. Since then, she has worked in a range of paediatric settings, including hospitals, CaFHS, private practice and schools.

Melissa has an interest in both developmental and orthopaedic conditions, with significant experience with babies with torticollis and plagiocephaly. She also sees lots of babies and toddlers for concerns about legs, feet and gross motor development.  Melissa is an experienced aquatic physiotherapist, working in the Children’s Physio SA hydrotherapy program, and is also a swimming instructor.

Outside of work, Melissa has three teenaged/young adult daughters.  Over the years, she has been involved in coaching hockey, netball and volleyball, but now gets to watch from the sidelines with 2 daughters continuing to play volleyball.
