Phil Calvert
DIRECTOR AND SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Phil has over 20 years experience working in senior roles in paediatric physiotherapy. In 2023, he was was appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor in Physiotherapy at Flinders University. He is the immediate past National President of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the peak body representing physios and their patients in Australia and his current appointments include:
Non-Executive Director on the National Board of Directors of the Australia and NZ College of Sports Physicians (ACSEP)
Non-Executive Director of the SA Postgraduate Medical Association (SPAMEA)
Trustee of the Elma Casely Trust
Phil has worked in a number of senior roles within SA Health, including as Head of Department of Physiotherapy at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, in addition to over 15 years experience in private paediatric practice in Adelaide, interstate and overseas. Phil’s clinical areas of particular interest include musculoskeletal and sports injuries, children’s pain and developmental conditions. He is highly experienced in casting and splinting management, including Ponseti management of clubfeet.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his young family and supporting the St Kilda Saints.
